Assisted Living in Wisconsin Reviews

My Mother turned 90 May 16th. She also had knee replacement in May. After her surgery she had to go to a rehab center for her physical therapy as many do. While there the therapists determined that she should no longer be living on her own due to her memory (dementia). They suggested a 24/7 live-in or a facility.

Mom has always been independent so we knew that a nursing home would kill her spirit. We already could see that with the time she spent at the rehab facility. My sister Janet toured both nursing homes and assisted living facilities to try to find a good fit for her.

She found Willowick and the atmosphere was so welcoming and it was so comfortably laid out that it was a no brainer. Here it was like she was in her own "apartment" which gave her the feeling that she was at home. We did have to downsize a little but we were able to incorporate enough of her things that made it so much better than other options.

The entire staff here are exceptional. Everyone really cares about the residents and will do whatever it takes to go above and beyond expectations. They treat them with the utmost respect, always friendly, taking the time to listen to their concerns or requests and caring for them as if they were their own family.

They also have many activities daily, plus weekly trips around town if you're interested, meals at local restaurants, games, movies...

Holiday events are geared for the family also if you choose to come and share in the fun.

Our family is extremely happy that we found Willowick!!!!

We were very pleased at how Willowick worked so quickly to accept our mother upon her release from the hospital.

We appreciate the caring CNAs and how they interact with our mother and the family.

The open, shared spaces in the assisted living facility are comfortable and attractive. The rooms are private with equipped bathrooms. Connie prepares varied and nutritious meals. It's the next best thing to being in your own home.

Our mother has been a resident of Willowick for a while now and we are so glad we found them. Willowick is a very special assisted living facility as they always put the patient's needs first. The staff at Willowick treat both the residents and their families with respect, kindness, and concern. They give the residents the space they need during difficult times while keeping a close eye on them. The staff is quick to respond to the residents needs and are always quick to return calls or answer questions for the family. Every employee at Willowick, from the kitchen staff, housekeeping staff, hairstylists, CNAs, to the owners are all a part of each resident's life. Full of home amenities and with a relaxing, calming environment. We haven't seen our mother smiling this much in a very long time. It's wonderful knowing she is happy and in such a safe, loving facility.

In 91 years, I never knew one could be treated so nice

(I) was very happy to find out that (they) did a semi annual review, and was very happy that the things that were discussed in review were handled immediately.  (He) has become more active, which was a challenge for him, and a concern.

Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to come work at Willowick.  I love it here!  All of you have showed me so much.  I'm proud to be a CNA with everyone there.
